Next TEAM TN Summit set for May 6 and 7
The two-day event will focus on the needs of the TEAM TN working groups focused on Workforce Development, DEIA, and Strategic Partnerships.
The second TEAM TN Summit will be held May 6 and 7 at the University of Memphis FedEx Institute of Technology’s The Zone.
Funded as one of the 44 organizations that received Type-1 “Regional Innovation Engines Development Awards” from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the goal is to position Tennessee at the leading edge of transportation electrification and mobility among all states.
To do so, the core team led by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville wants to hear from community, workforce development, and industry partners on programs to address gaps and barriers to entry in technology-based career fields like transportation and mobility. In addition, they want to learn how to improve access to these technologies and the economic opportunities they promise.
The May Summit is focused on the needs of the TEAM TN working groups focused on Workforce Development, DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility), and Strategic Partnerships. Participants will provide input on TEAM TN’s governance structure and feedback on potential projects as well as hearing progress reports from all five working groups, including Use Inspired R&D, and Technology Licensing and New Ventures.
