Knoxville Chamber to host Talent Retention Panel

Join the Knoxville Chamber on Tuesday, September 19, from 9-10 a.m. for a panel to learn how your organization can engage with employees in a meaningful way and retain their talent.

Panelists include representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, Young Professionals of Knoxville, and Axle Logistics.

Find your community at 3rd annual Knoxville Friendship Orientation

The Knoxville Friendship Orientation is a one-stop shop for anyone post-undergrad to find community right here in Knoxville.

Hosted by New2Knox, local organizations and businesses (specifically those who make it easy to get connected and build community) will gather for a free event at Schulz Brau Brewing Co. on Sunday, September 10th from 3-5 p.m.

You’ll have a chance to meet representatives from places like the local beer community, the running community, networking organizations, various sport leagues, New2Knox, and more.

Learn all about YPK at next crash course event

YPK 101, a crash course on what it means to be a Young Professional of Knoxville member, will take place on September 26 at the East Tennessee History Center.

YPK’s annual fall recruitment event is an opportunity to mix and mingle with area young professionals, learn more about membership benefits, and by attending, qualify for a 25 percent discount off your membership.

Tennessee Valley Fair returns to East Knoxville

The 103rd Tennessee Valley Fair is now open at Chilhowee Park in East Knoxville. The fair is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to showcasing East Tennessee heritage, agriculture, and the arts.

This year the fair runs from September 8 – 17 with rides, pageants, competitions, farm animals, agricultural learning sessions, entertainment, your favorite fair food, games, and more. Musical performers this year include Travis Tritt, KC and the Sunshine Band, and T-Pain.
