This round of funding will support the continued development of the Fast Charge Network in Tennessee, building out DC fast charging infrastructure at least every 50 miles along prioritized corridors.
This program is intended to complement the State’s implementation of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Grant Program, which seeks to build out fast charging EV infrastructure along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors and is administered by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).
Eligible applicants include:
- Tennessee local power companies (LPCs)
- For-profit or nonprofit organizations authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee and that have a physical presence and operate in Tennessee, including but not limited to electric vehicle (EV) charging companies, fueling stations, private developers, private educational institutions, etc.
- Government entities, including local governments or public institutions of higher education based in Tennessee. “Government” shall mean a State or local government agency (including a school district, municipality, city, county, special district, transit district, joint powers authority, or port authority, owning fleets purchased with government funds).

In fiscal year 2024, ARC invested nearly $365 million in 583 projects, which attracted an additional $5 billion in private investments across Appalachia.
