Newest Defiant EV3 electric roadster to be unveiled next week

John McMillan of Shockwave Motors, the Russellville-based company, alerted us that he will unveil the newest version of the Defiant EV3 electric roadster at a brand new event in Michigan.

Named “Motor Bella,” the weeklong event is a scaled down version of the “North American International Auto Show” (NAIAS) that has been a global industry leader for years. That show has been postponed again due to COVID-19, and Motor Bella will be an all outdoor event at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac.

McMillan says that “Shockwave Motors has spent the past few months redesigning and rebuilding our vintage modern, all-electric roadster.” The latest version will be unveiled the morning of September 21.

“Successfully completing the equity crowdfunding raise last year provided us the opportunity to implement the design suggestions we received from the public,” McMillan says. The company raised $35,000.

“Being selected to debut the new roadster at Motor Bella is an amazing opportunity for Shockwave Motors,” he added. “Motor Bella, provides us the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, key suppliers, and potential investors. Each step we take moves us one step closer to production and bringing our fun, affordable, and safe electric roadster to market.”

Like the NAIAS which we had the privilege of attending several times, Motor Bella will have industry only sessions on September 21 and 22 before opening to the public for the next four days.

As for the tenacious McMillan, he says, “Not only are we committed, we remain Defiant!”
