New “Community Pitch Event” coming in late March to Cleveland
New businesses in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk Counties have the chance to win $5,000.
There’s a new pitch competition coming to Cleveland at the end of March.
Hosted by the George R. Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Cleveland State Community College, the “Community Pitch Competition” on March 30 is open to any new business in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe or Polk Counties that has been in operation for at least six months, but no longer than two years, and currently generating sales.
The event is a partnership with the Chambers of Commerce in the five counties, and those interested in being considered have to submit their application through the chamber where their business is located. Six to eight companies will be selected to pitch for a chance to win the $5,000 prize. They will be given five minutes for their pitch and 10 minutes for the judges to ask questions.
More details and the application can be found here.
