Need a babysitter? New option coming to Chattanooga and Knoxville

Mobile app Wyndy helps families find, book, and pay vetted, background-checked college babysitters. Nearly six years after its launch, the company is seeking 200 college students in the two new cities.

Looking for a babysitter? If so, your task might become a little easier in Chattanooga and Knoxville.

Birmingham-founded Wyndy announced that it is pushing into new areas of Tennessee, offering its services in Knoxville and Chattanooga. The company was already in Memphis and Nashville.

Created by parents Ginger and Tommy Mayfield, Wyndy is a mobile app helping families find, book, and pay vetted, background-checked college babysitters. The goal is to recruit a total of 200 babysitters in the two new cities.

“Wyndy is excited to grow out of beta mode and expand into two new markets in Tennessee,” said Missy Polhemus, the company’s Chief Executive Officer. “Since our launch in 2017, we have completed over 120,000 jobs across the Southeast, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to connect even more families and sitters”

New Wyndy parents can visit the website to receive a $25 credit. Interested students who would like to apply to become a Wyndy can do so here. All sitters must be enrolled at a Wyndy-approved higher education institution.
