Nashville’s tech job growth is more than 36 percent in past five years

Yesterday’s edition of Axios reported on the trend where emerging tech hubs all over the U.S. and Canada are pulling tech talent away from the superstar cities, and one of those cited is Nashville.

Citing an article in the new Axios What’s Next newsletter that was based on an analysis by commercial real estate firm CBRE, the data show that Music City grew its tech talent pool by 36.1 percent between 2015 and 2020. Among what Axios described as small market cities, Nashville’s growth was second only to Alberta, Canada, seven times the growth of the tech base in Columbus, OH, and nearly four times that of Cincinnati in the same period.
