
Nashville EC schedules second “Panel & Pitch” event, accepting applications
The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) has announced the winners of its inaugural “Panel & Pitch” event that was focused on consumer goods and is inviting applications for the next one focused on tech start-ups.
Founders of tech businesses can apply here by submitting a one-minute video (eligibility criteria listed on application site). Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. CDT August 11, and applicants will be notified of their results by Friday, August 19. The event itself begins at 12 noon CDT August 25.
Sponsored by Dell for Startups and GPSources, the EC’s first “Panel & Pitch: Consumer Goods Edition” featured two winners. The judges selected Trace Famcare, producer of the first hemp and Climate Beneficial™ cotton tampon, and those in attendance selected Twisted Sistuhs, a local wine brand.
Judges for the in-person competition held at the EC were Judith Bright, Founder of Judith Bright Jewelry; Johanna Blankush, Senior Vice President of Non-Consumables at Dollar General; and Darek Bell, Founder and Owner of Corsair Distillery.
