Nashville EC announces finalists for “2022 NEXT Awards”

The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) has announced the finalists for the “2022 NEXT Awards,” an annual ceremony that recognizes entrepreneurs who are transforming industries and strengthening the Middle Tennessee community and beyond. Presented by Amazon, the event will be held October 24 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

The “NEXT Awards” program honors businesses across different industry categories with three winners in each category – start-up companies with revenue up to $1 million, emerging companies with annual revenue between $1 to $3 million, and market mover companies with more than $3 million in annual revenue.

Finalists for this year’s awards in the start-up grouping are:

Healthcare:

  • CPRWrap, Inc. – Felicia Jackson;
  • Miter Health – Kishore Tummala and Manish Shah; and
  • Winnow – Paul Vernich and Ray Guzman.

Music, Sports, and Entertainment:

  • Affinity Entertainment – Matthew Romero;
  • A to Z Sports – Austin Stanley and Zach Bingham; and
  • Troops & Allies – Tiffany Long.

Products, Services and Retail:

  • Black Business Boom – Danielle McGee;
  • Small Town Startup – Lisa DiVirgilio Arnold; and
  • Walker Brothers – Caroline Howard and Sam and Luke Walker.

Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction:

  • Collected – Jamie Pfeffer;
  • Mama Blanche – Charlotte Miller; and
  • Urban Campus and Core LLC – Jennifer Horne.

Technology:

  • Couture Technologies – Deanna Meador and Marcelino Cancio-Rodríguez;

  • Grayscale Marketing – Tim Gray.

Products, Services and Retail:

  • Canvast Supply Co. – Devin Aracena and Christie Tarleton;
  • Continuum Planning Partners – Andy Faught and Abby Spaulding; and
  • Thrive Tutoring – Katy Schmitt.

Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction:

  • Holladay Ventures – Evan Holladay;
  • Placemat – Ryan Reisdorf; and

During the event, two innovative founders across all industries will be honored with the “Emerging Entrepreneur of 2022 Award” (less than $3M revenue) and “Entrepreneur of 2022 Award” (more than $3M revenue). Finalists in the first category are: (1) Amy Green of the Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center; (2) Brian Bauer of Bauer Entertainment Marketing; and (3) Devin Aracena of Canvast Supply Co. Finalists for the “Entrepreneur of 2022 Award” are: (1) Austin Dirks of GreenLight Medical; (2) Meg Epstein of CA South; and (3) Trina Frierson of Mending Hearts.

Additionally, the EC will welcome the 2022 Entrepreneur Hall of Fame inductees for their life-long contributions to Nashville’s entrepreneurial community.
