Nashville EC accepting applications, nominations for its “NEXT Awards”
The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC) is now accepting applications and nominations for its “NEXT Awards” initiative that celebrates achievements of those who create new opportunities, transform industries, grow economies, and improve lives in Nashville and far beyond.
In its recent email blast, the NEC noted that “the award categories and qualifications have changed from last year. Most notably, founders instead of start-ups will be honored as winners across all categories.”
The award categories include:
- “Emerging Entrepreneur of 2020” that will be awarded to a person running a business that is growing quickly into the next big thing;
- “Entrepreneur of 2020” that will be presented to the top Founder in the Industry Awards group which means the winner must apply for an industry award to be considered for this recognition; and
- Specific industry awards in categories including products, services and retail (B2B or B2C); financial services; healthcare; logistics, distribution and manufacturing; music, sports and entertainment; real estate; hospitality; and construction.
For those applying for an industry award, their company must have at least $1 million in revenue over the past 12 months. Also, companies must be headquartered in Middle Tennessee. More details can be found here.
