MyHome rebrands as Oply

“MyHome's growth is outpacing our expectations, with momentum building faster than anticipated,” Lindsey Chrismon says.

Less than a year after launching the MyHome app to better connect homeowners and service providers, the company co-founded by Lindsey and Gabe Chrismon is rebranding itself concurrent with further enhancements to the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered service.

“We want to be the CARFAX for your home,” Lindsey says, explaining that the company provides a one-stop marketplace to store every detail and document about a house. Using this data, the AI engine can predict when something in the home is likely to break or need maintenance – then seamlessly connect homeowners with the highest-rated professional service providers in their area.

That led to the decision to rebrand. As of a launch party last Friday, the Nashville-based company is now known as Oply.

Lindsey says the name is original, memorable, trustworthy, and searchable, meaning it will be the first name that appears in a search engine. For start-ups, such as Oply that are looking for more visibility, that’s a big deal.

There were more than 1,000 homeowners on the waiting list when the MyHome app went live on August 16, 2024, and about 80 service providers. The latter has grown exponentially, reaching more than 400 vendors.

“MyHome’s growth is outpacing our expectations, with momentum building faster than anticipated,” Lindsey says.

As previously reported in teknovation.biz, the Chrismons were awarded a $150,000 grant as the top competitor in the November 2024 Business Shower hosted by Warrior Rising in Salt Lake City, UT. Then, in January, they launched a new offering specifically for realtors—a unique subscription-based service that provides a customized version of the application, helping real estate agents stay top-of-mind with clients long after the sale of a home.

“We want to help homeowners be proactive rather than reactive,” Lindsey explains.

The company has big plans. While now offering its services only in Tennessee, there are plans to expand next to Atlanta and eventually across the U.S. within five years.

What is Oply’s value proposition? Lindsey says it helps homeowners save time and money while eliminating the hassle of home maintenance – ultimately providing peace of mind.

Oply is one of the 11 companies in the portfolio of Market Square Ventures.

The new website is oply.app and you can download Oply today in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store!
