More than 20 organizations collaborate to develop Arkansas Entrepreneurship Policy Framework
More than 20 organizations across the State of Arkansas came together recently to create the “Arkansas Entrepreneurship Policy Framework” that contains 56 recommendations for policymakers to lower barriers to entrepreneurship.
Spearheaded by an organization named the Conductor, the framework is the second iteration of the its “Arkansas Entrepreneurship Policy Map.” That report was released in 2020, based on the work of the Kauffman Foundation with “America’s New Business Plan” and the “Small Business Majority’s Policy Agenda.”
The newly released document provides updates to those recommendations, along with new recommendations developed during the “Arkansas Entrepreneurship Policy Summit” this spring. Hosted at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, the event brought together policymakers, entrepreneur support organizations, and entrepreneurs from around the state for three days of discussions on the barriers to Arkansas small business owners and how these could be alleviated through policy changes. That input was then used to create the recommendations for the new policy framework.
