Mixtroz to be featured on upcoming episode of “Rooster & Butch” cable series

MixtrozHow cool is this for any aspiring entrepreneurs?

The mother and daughter team behind Mixtroz is going to be featured on “Rooster & Butch,” a new series from A&E networks that promotes entrepreneurs like Ashlee Ammons (daughter) and Kerry Schrader (mother).

If there’s a ring to the name “Rooster & Butch,” it’s no doubt related to their previous cable television series – “West Texas Investors Club” – that ran for several years on CNBC.

The Co-Founders of Mixtroz, a Nashville area start-up focused on making networking events more valuable, will be spotlighted in the fifth episode of the show’s inaugural season. It airs live at 10 p.m. EST/9 p.m. CST on February 7.

Thanks to sponsorship support from Baker Donelson and Pathway Women’s Business Center, there will be a special viewing party from 8 to 10 p.m. that evening at the Baker Donelson Center in Nashville. To attend, click here. You can also help sponsor; learn more by emailing Schrader at kerry@mixtroz.com.

Next month’s showing is just the latest exciting development for the engaging duo we first met in 2016 when they were participating in CO.LAB’s “GIGTANK 365” cohort in Chattanooga. As noted in this recent post on teknovation.biz, Ammons and Schrader have also been accepted into the Velocity Accelerator in Birmingham.

“2018 is starting off with a bang,” Schrader told us yesterday. “We are thrilled about all of the media exposure, clients that have been secured, our acceptance into Birmingham’s Velocity Accelerator, and an upcoming upgrade for Mixtroz.”

I’m never sure which one of the two is the more reserved, but Schrader’s comments yesterday underscored where she and her daughter see things going.

“Now, it’s time for funding,” she said. “We’ve exceeded ‘the normal’ milestones, now it’s time for funders to walk the talk. We are a viable, women-led, minority investment.”

The episode with the Mixtroz team begins with Butch and Rooster inviting them to join buddy Gil Prather’s “Adios Amigos Tour.” The two scrappy entrepreneurs must learn how to handle curveballs when things do not go as planned. Click here for a preview of the episode.
