Mid x Midwest designed to connect 50 investors with 50 entrepreneurs
In a little more than a week, Dan Kerr, a Partner at Kansas City-based Flyover Capital, will test his his hypothesis about ways to get more venture capital firms to visit the city and benefit early stage tech founders in the region at the same time.
The invitation only event named Mid x Midwest will be held the afternoon of November 15 with a goal of connecting 50 investor-represented firms with 50 entrepreneurs from Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The focus is on business-to-business software firms.
Scheduled during Global Entrepreneurship Week, Kerr hopes what he describes as the “experimental” collaboration among numerous key players in the Kansas City venture ecosystem will be so successful that it will become an annual event.
