Miami University of Ohio, Furman University recognized by Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers

Miami University in Ohio and its Farmer School’s John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship were recently named the winner of the 2020 “NASDAQ Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence Award,” while Furman University’s Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been named an “Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Center.”

Given by the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers, the award to Miami is described here as “the highest honor that a University Entrepreneurship Center can receive.” It recognizes centers throughout the nation that have helped propel entrepreneurs forward in a variety of categories including research, outreach, and community collaborations. The University of Chicago, MIT, Stanford University, and Cornell University are some of the awards previous winners.
