Marble City Angels plans two July 19 events for accredited investors

Marble City Angels, the Knoxville-based chapter of the Sheltowee Angel Network, continues its efforts to help grow the number of active angels in Knoxville with two events on July 19. They are a follow-on to the Knoxville Chamber’s three-session “Opportunities on the Horizon” series which Sheltowee helped plan and a pitch event for several of the companies in the “Techstars Industries of the Future Accelerator” that was part of a recent monthly meeting of Marble City Angels.

At 11:30 a.m. July 19, Sheltowee will host a lunch meeting for accredited investors only and by invitation only. Then at 5:30 p.m., Marble City Angels will host its regular monthly meeting where tech-based start-ups will pitch.

“We have a healthy and growing Knoxville angel community and this is a great time to engage,” said Eric Dobson, Sheltowee’s Chief Executive Officer, and Doc Claussen, President of the Marble City Angels chapter. Those interested in attending either or both events should contact Claussen (dclaussen@sheltowee.com) or Dobson (edobson@sheltowee.com).
