Majority Black-led MaC Venture Capital raises $103 million inaugural fund

MaC Venture Capital, a seed stage venture capital firm that invests in technology start-ups, has raised its inaugural $103 million fund.

According to this article, the majority Black-owned firm employs a cultural investment framework, using business and consumer trend research to identify companies that are leveraging shifts in culture and behavior. It backs companies across a broad range of business sectors including fintech, eCommerce and marketplaces, interactive media, connectivity, enterprise software-as-a-service, space and aerospace, and logistics.

MaC Venture Capital plans to make 40 investments with this new fund with an average investment of $1 million.
