Local start-up Financial Cents in running for big bucks but needs your help
Financial Cents, one of the competitors in the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center’s inaugural “CodeWorks” accelerator, is trying to get selected for something called the “$100,000 Small Business App Showdown.” Sponsored by Intuit, the competition is open to companies that have published apps in the QuickBooks App Store this year. Ten finalists will be selected for the competition during the upcoming QuickBooks Connect conference in late October.
To vote for Financial Cents, go to this site and find the start-up. It is one of 74, but at the bottom of the page. Apparently, the old political adage of “voting early and often” applies. It would appear you can vote daily. In fact, if you click on the link, it will go to Google Calendar and set-up a daily reminder.
