Live Nation acquires balance of AC Entertainment that it did not own

According to a post yesterday on Pollstar, LiveNation has acquired the remaining interest that it did own in Knoxville-based AC Entertainment.

As described in this 2017 article – the last in a five-part series on teknovation.biz focused on AC Entertainment Founder Ashley Capps, the online ticket provider acquired a majority stake in the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in 2015, and the arrangement advanced further in October 2016 when Live Nation acquired a majority stake in the entire company.

The Pollstar post says Capps will remain with the company and continue to play an important part in Bonnaroo, along with a number of other events he created. Current AC Entertainment Vice President Ted Heining becomes President of what will now be Live Nation’s Knoxville, Chattanooga and Asheville office.
