LaunchTN asks for input with online “Assessment of Tennessee Investment Environment”

LaunchTN and its Capital Formation Task Force are seeking input from investors (angels, venture capitalists, private equity, and others), bankers and other funders, ecosystem builders, and entrepreneurs on the capital environment in the United States generally and Tennessee specifically.

To do so, the statewide public-private partnership is asking individuals to complete an online “Assessment of Tennessee Investment Environment.” The survey is designed to:

  • Identify existing sources of capital in each region and for each stage of investment to build a comprehensive view of available capital;
  • Identify gaps in capital across the state;
  • Identify investor areas of interest by industry and by region;
  • Connect entrepreneurs to this data to enable access to capital locally as well as those outside of Tennessee who currently invest or are interested in investing in the state;
  • Connect capital resources to each other to source new deals as well as serve as co-investors and
  • Develop a robust, updated deal database for access by interested investor groups over time.

Data from the assessment will help LaunchTN help make Tennessee the best state in the nation for entrepreneurs and start-ups by empowering a network of resources that support Tennessee’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Those who complete the assessment by July 1 will receive a full summary report of the responses by September as well as access to the data going forward.
