LaunchTN gets a second Blackstone grant of $100,000

LaunchTN 2-teknoThe Blackstone Charitable Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Launch Tennessee for the second year in a row.

For 2014, the Foundation’s funding will be used to expand a novel program used by Chattanooga’s “GIGTANK.” As previously reported in teknovation.biz’s articles about the 2013 “GIGTANK,” the accelerator has recruited students from disciplines such as
technology and management to be in-house subject matter experts for the competing entrepreneurial teams.

The Blackstone funding will expand the “GIGTANK” program by creating the “Launch Tennessee Specialist Program,” which will recruit similar talent from across the country to participate in Tennessee’s regional accelerator nbetwork.
