Launch Tennessee seeking legal services for “InvestTN Fund”

The organization is targeting law firms that have extensive experience in providing legal counsel services for venture capital firms making equity investments into early-stage start-ups.

Ahead of what it expects to be approval soon for the federally-funded “State Small Business Credit Program,” Launch Tennessee has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for legal services for the recently named “InvestTN Fund.” The new initiative includes three components: a $28 million regional seed program, $30 million technology program, and $12 million multi-fund program.

“Each program requires a unique set of legal services to be performed, independent of overall legal guidance for the ‘InvestTN Fund’ as a whole,” Launch Tennessee explains in the RFP. The organization is targeting law firms that have extensive experience in providing legal counsel services for venture capital firms making equity investments into early-stage start-ups, as well as limited partner commitments into venture capital funds.” The proposals can be for a three-year period.

Proposals are due by no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on February 10 and can be submitted by email to Monique Villa at monique@launchtn.org.
