Launch Tennessee announces “36|86 Southern Series” details

36-86 v2Let the recruitment begin.

Launch Tennessee announced yesterday the selection of three cities and corresponding partners for its “36|86 Southern Series.” It’s part of a strategy to ensure that the organization’s inaugural “36|86 Conference” attracts the best start-ups from the states defined as in the southeast.

During the month of April, Launch Tennessee and each of its city partners will host an event where 10 start-ups from that region will vie for the opportunity to pitch at the “36|86 Conference” in Nashville June 8, 9 and 10.

“We are seeking the top southeastern entrepreneurs, pure and simple,” said Charlie Brock, Launch Tennessee’s Chief Executive Officer. “The Southern Series winners coming to ‘36|86’ will experience the center of southern entrepreneurship and culture connecting the doers, makers, innovators and investors from across the country.”

The dates, partners, locations, and application deadlines are:

  • April 2 – Atlanta Tech Village, Atlanta, GA. (Application deadline is March 9.)
  • April 7 – Disruption Corporation, Arlington, VA. (Application deadline is March 12.)
  • April 15 – ConvergeSE and The Iron Yard, Columbia, SC. (Application deadline is March 18.)

Those interested in pitching at one of these events can apply by clicking here. Up to four winners will be selected at each location and provided support to come to Nashville for the “36|86 Conference.” All applicants to a regional event who did not win, as well as those who want to directly apply for consideration, will be notified of their “at large” status by May 7.
