Launch Tennessee announces new 2015 event named “36/86”

It comes with a new name, but a renewed emphasis on the Southern values, assets and unique characteristics that the inaugural “Southland” event in 2013 was designed to capture and celebrate.
We’re referring to Launch Tennessee’s annual June event promoting entrepreneurship. It is now named “36/86” for the longitude and latitude coordinates of Nashville. It will be held June 8, 9 and 10 at the same location as this year’s event – Marathon Music Works in Nashville. And, as in 2014, AC Entertainment will again be involved on the musical side.
“We remain fully committed to celebrating what makes the southeast a phenomenal place to start, scale and invest in new businesses,” Charlie Brock, Launch Tennessee’s Chief Executive Officer, said in a news release issued yesterday.
Ahead of the June event, Launch Tennessee will host pitch fests in key Southern cities that are hotspots for entrepreneurial activity. Locations and dates will be announced later.

Soon after the Launch Tennessee release, PandoDaily, co-sponsor with Launch Tennessee of the 2014 “Southland” event, announced its own June conference in Nashville. It will be named “Pandoland” and held exactly a week later at Marathon Music Works.
