“Launch It: Cincy” innovative way to support student start-up ventures

Here’s an intriguing way to encourage undergraduate students to build their start-up companies in the cities where they are attending college rather than go home for the summer.

Main Street Ventures, a long-time booster of Cincinnati’s tech scene, is launching a new pitch competition and program this fall aimed exclusively at college students in the region.

Launch It: Cincy” will open to undergraduate students in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Greater Dayton regions starting September 1 and comes with a prize package valued at about $28,000. The funds will cover housing, living expenses and more for winning teams to stay in Cincinnati during the summer of 2022 to build their business ideas.
