The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) has opened applications for two of its programs.
Brandcamp:
Brandcamp is a hands-on brand accelerator designed to help start-ups clarify their brand, communicate with confidence, and build momentum that drives real results, deeper engagement, and long-term trust. Led by Chris McAdoo, you’ll have a day of high-energy/high-impact interactive exercises, breakout sessions, and direct coaching from branding pros who’ve built everything from nonprofits to nationally recognized brands.
Among the points covered are:
- Know yourself. Communicate your value with clarity and conviction.
- Serve your audience. Understand the needs of decision-makers, and how to meet them where they are.
- Own your voice. Develop language and messaging that clearly reflects your unique value proposition.
- Understand your competition. Craft a positioning strategy that sticks and scales.
Applications close June 5, and the one-day event occurs on June 23. To apply, click here.
Expert E-Commerce:
KEC is hosting the series in conjunction with The Maker City organization. Jess Briley Curtis, Founder of J-Bird Digital Designs, will lead the five-session series that begins on July 17 and runs for three hours every Thursday through August 14. Described as dedicated to empowering makers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in digital marketing, Curtis has more than a decade of experience, having left the corporate marketing world in order to better cultivate a community rooted in collaboration and creativity.
The five sessions cover:
- Laying the Groundwork: Identify your target customer, develop your brand, and position your products (photos and videos) effectively.
- Visual Storytelling: Learn how to create engaging photos and videos to showcase your products effectively, while also considering user experience to ensure a seamless online journey from click to checkout.
- Pricing & Logistics: Explore strategies for pricing, shipping, and streamlining your operations.
- Optimizing Your Online Presence: Discover ways to drive traffic to your website, improve SEO, and choose the right E-commerce / POS platform.
- In-Person Website Audits: Kick off our final session with a live audit of each participant’s site, where we review the website experience in person as a class and give feedback on potential improvements based on what we’ve learned so far.
