Knoxville Chamber to host 2022 Shrimp Boil at Jackson Terminal

By Kailyn Lamb, Marketing Content Writer and Editor, PYA

After a couple of years of not offering it due to COVID-19, the Knoxville Chamber will once again host its annual Shrimp Boil, “Peelin’, Eatin’, Politickin’” event on June 16 in-person. The two-hour gathering will bring together local elected officials as well as others from across the state in this business climate program.

“As part of our business climate programming, we are excited to give the business community additional opportunities to meet with local elected officials. We’ve gotten a lot of feedback recently from attendees at the Governor’s Luncheon and our Premier Partner programs about how happy they are to be gathering together again,” said Amanda O’Dell, Director of Investor Experience at the Chamber. “This will be our first evening event of this size since the pandemic began, so this year’s attendance will be especially helpful in evaluating the program going forward.”

The Shrimp Boil will be held at the Jackson Terminal from 5-7 p.m. June 16. Tickets range from $30-$50. Reserved tables for the event include eight seats, two drink tickets, a bucket of bottled beer, and a family-style shrimp boil spread. Companies that reserve a table will also have a sign displaying their logo at the table.

O’Dell said a list of elected officials attending will be available closer to the event.
