Kevin Kragenbrink selected as interim top executive at Tech 2020

Tech 2020(EDITOR’S NOTE: The Editor of teknovation.biz is on the Board of Directors of Tech 2020.)

Kevin Kragenbrink, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Estrada Strategies, Inc., was selected yesterday as the Interim Executive Director of Tech 2020.

The consulting coach, profiled more than a year ago in a three-part series on teknovation.biz, was selected unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Oak Ridge-based non-profit after a search led by Teri Brahams, Tech 2020’s Chair-elect and Executive Director for Business and Community Services at Pellissippi State Community College.

As previously reported, the top position at Tech 2020 became open in September when John Morris resigned to co-found Clearpath Ventures in Knoxville. Kragenbrink’s appointment is for a period not to exceed six months as he brings his strategic planning expertise to help Tech 2020 identify ways that it can best contribute to the region’s evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“Tech 2020 has played a leadership role in the region for the past 20 years, primarily focused on technology commercialization and access to capital strategies,” said Tom Rogers, Board Chairman and a former CEO of the organization. “We are delighted that Kevin has agreed to serve in this important position.”
