KEC opens applications for 2020 edition of “What the Big Idea 48-Hour Pitch Competition”

The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center has opened the application process for the annual “What’s the Big Idea 48-Hour Pitch Competition.”

The 2020 edition of the event is set for February 28-March 1. To be considered, individuals must apply by February 3. Those selected will be notified a week later on February 10, and the all-weekend event begins Friday evening, February 28, with the pitch finale on Sunday, March 1.

Those who should apply have a concept or new enterprise in the seed stage, start-up or pre-revenue stage; are at least 18 years old; and have a concept that could lead to potential growth and job creation in the Knoxville area.

The winner of the pitch competition will be accepted into a KEC “CO.STARTER” class and also be eligible for up to $10,000 in business launch reimbursement costs after completing the program.
