KEC announces coding teams for “The Works”

The WorksThe Knoxville Entrepreneur Center has announced the four teams from the coding vertical that will participate in the inaugural “The Works” accelerator, and several of the lead entrepreneurs are familiar names.

As described in this late April post, the 12-week program combines two separate accelerators – “CodeWorks” and “MediaWorks.” The teams in both verticals will be unveiled to the community at an event next Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at North/South Production, 18 Emory Place, Suite 300. The four coding teams are:

  • ImmersaCAD – a Virtual Reality company for architects and designers which brings 3D CAD models to life in a truly immersive digital design experience;
  • RDI Technologies – developers of a patented technology platform capable of measuring motion, vibration, and displacement not visible to the human eye;
  • Review Box – a software-as-a-service (SaaS) that helps vendors maintain brand integrity on Amazon and other major retail sites; and
  • AirFlare – a partner with NASA that brings laboratory-grade biomedical innovations to consumer markets.

Bob Wilson, a long-time player in Knoxville’s entrepreneurial scene, is involved in RDI Technologies that was featured in this recent teknovation.biz post. Former Oak Ridge National Laboratory researcher James Horey is the Founder of Review Box. He most recently served as Vice President of Data Analytics at Cirruspath, another local start-up.
