Kailyn Lamb moving on from teknovation to join Harvard Business School Online

By Tom Ballard, Chief Alliance Officer, PYA

A familiar byline to regular teknovation.biz readers will soon disappear from our newsfeed.

Kailyn Lamb, who joined PYA as a Marketing Content Writer and Editor in January 2021, has accepted a position as a content developer for Harvard Business School Online. Her last official day with PYA is September 30 although a few of her articles will still appear over the next few weeks. During her 21 months as part of the teknovation.biz team, Lamb served as the primary producer of Teknovation Weekend and covered local entrepreneurial programs including “Innovation Crossroads”(IC)  and “100Knoxville.”

Lamb has an extensive background in business reporting and has shown those skills through her deep dives into local economic reports we feature on teknovation.biz. Even working remotely from Boston, she’s kept her finger on the pulse of Knoxville business news. Her new role at Harvard will allow her to travel and write about the professors, staff, and students that add to the success of that online program.

The native of Colorado moved to Knoxville when Will Fitzhugh, her now fiancée and Founder of American Nanotechnologies Inc., moved here as part of Cohort 3 of the IC program. They relocated earlier this year to Boston where Fitzhugh launched a new company named Adden Energy Inc. that is developing a solid-state battery system for use in electric vehicles. The technology is being granted through an exclusive license from Harvard University’s Office of Technology Development. Now both Fitzhugh and Lamb will work with different sectors of the same university.

“Despite working remotely throughout the pandemic, Tom and the leaders at PYA welcomed me with open arms and gave me a home,” said Lamb. “While I am excited for the next steps in my career, I am truly sad to leave such a great company.”

Lamb continued to support teknovation.biz virtually from her new Boston base. As she makes the next move in her professional career and starts to plan a wedding, we want to express our sincere appreciation for her many contributions to the continued growth of the teknovation.biz brand and wish her great success in her new role.
