Jose and Shannon Castillo, Co-Founders of Johnson City’s Spark Plaza, faced a challenge. Their tenants at their co-working facility in the downtown are had outgrown the existing space at 404 South Roan Street, so they have expanded to next door.

Spark Plaza was launched in 2009 in one location, expanded with a second space a few years later, and consolidated in August 2018 into a single venue in the 404 South Roan Street building that the Castillos own.
