Johnson City’s Spark Plaza celebrating 10th anniversary next Friday

Johnson City’s Spark Plaza co-working space is celebrating its 10th anniversary next Friday.

When the dynamic husband and wife team of Jose and Shannon Castillo opened it in 2009, their stated goal was to create the best and coolest place to work for their members in their hometown of Johnson City. We spotlighted their passions in this article from June 2012.

“From the beginning, we knew that we wanted to create a space that focused on the community and we wanted to be part of the revitalization of downtown Johnson City,” said Jose. “We felt like there was a need for a coworking experience and knew they had been successful in larger cities but weren’t sure how successful they would be in this area.”

The birthday celebration will be held in conjunction with “First Friday.” It runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 at 404 S Roan St, Johnson City. To register, click here.
