Johns Hopkins develops “Inventor’s Guide,” says others might find it useful

With help from Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV), the prestigious university has produced an 18-page guide for investors that explains the technology transfer process in general and at Johns Hopkins, intellectual property, patents, and conflicts of interest.

JHTV Executive Director Christy Wyskiel believes the “Inventor’s Guide,” as it is known, can also offer a model and path to engagement for other universities, corporate partners, licensees, investors and others in the broader tech ecosystem. “A lot of this is not specific to Johns Hopkins, but is specific to the world of university tech transfer,” she explained.
