Investment firm focused on defense technologies relocates to Tampa Bay
A Connecticut-based boutique bank that makes early stage investments has moved its headquarters to the Tampa Bay region.
The firm – Stony Lonesome Group – has a focus on investing in early stage start-ups that create technology solutions in the defense field and can later adapt and adopt them for commercial uses in fields such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. It typically does six to eight investments a year, with a focus on the seed stage round. It has investments across the country, but believe in working closely with the entities.
