The always informative Innovation magazine reports in its latest issue on two activities potentially impacting technology transfer at the Department of Energy (DOE).

• One article reports on an audit by the Department’s Deputy Inspector General who “found that DOE failed to follow through on numerous tech transfer mandates from Congress, some of which are almost a decade old.” The Innovation magazine article says DOE set a July 31 deadline to address the deficiencies.
• The other article reports on several bills introduced in Congress to enhance DOE’s technology transfer activities.
