Innovate Alabama names its first CEO
AL.com reports that Cynthia Crutchfield has been tapped as the first Chief Executive Officer of Innovate Alabama, the state’s public-private partnership focused on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Before serving as Chief Operating Officer of Huntsville’s The Crutchfield Company, a real estate investment business, Crutchfield spent 18 years as a civil servant and founded her own information technology services and consulting company, Crutchfield Management Consulting. The Montgomery native starts her new job December 1.
Like Launch Tennessee, one of Innovate Alabama’s initiatives is to provide matching grants to recipients of federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grants.
