Here’s a unique way to truly work from anywhere
Cincinnati-based Remote Vans outfits high-end Sprinter Vans for that very purpose.
Two Cincinnati entrepreneurs have taken the remote work craze to a new level, outfitting high-end Mercedes Sprinter vans for those who really want to work from anywhere.
The company is appropriately named Remote Vans and was co-founded two years ago by Tony Alexander, former General Manager for The Brandery, and Daryn Hillhouse. According to a recent article in Cincy Inno, they conceived the business plan during COVID-19.
There are currently three options available:
- The #Vanlife series is described as a “versatile, add-as-you-go, gateway van to adventure on road trips” and starts at $125,000;
- The FridayTM series starts at $152,000 for rear-wheel drive and $158,000 for all-wheel drive; and
- The OasisTM series, billed as a “fully-loaded, four-season van, with industry-leading power and water systems, hydronic heating system and high-efficiency AC” begins at $182,000 for rear-wheel drive and $188,000 for all-wheel drive.
The company expects to ship about 35 units in 2023 and will ramp up production significantly in 2024 after moving later this year into a larger space that also will allow for expansion. The ultimate goal is to produce 500 remote vehicles annually.
