Healing Innovations wins another $15,000, headed to Dell’s national finals

In a mid-April “News & Notes” item, we reported that Healing Innovations Inc. captured first place and $15,000 in the Music City stop of Dell’s nine-month pitch event tour that will lead up to a finale where more than $500,000 in cash prizes and Dell rewards will be awarded.

The Nashville Entrepreneur Center hosted the competition and reported in its latest Good Company biweekly newsletter that Luke Benda and Healing Innovations captured the “Crowd Favorite” at the Dell Pitch Competition – Semi Finals last week, taking home another $15,000 cash prize. He will now compete in the national finale.

As described in our first article on the start-up in 2019 when it was participating in the “Health Tech Accelerator” organized by Chattanooga’s CO.LAB, Benda founded the company to find a better solution for those impaired by neurological issues after a friend’s paralysis that was caused by an automobile accident.

The start-up’s solution is the Rise & WalkTM device that provides a therapeutic solution called gait training that simulates the walking motion. “You are retraining your spine and nerves on how to walk again,” Benda explains.
