H Venture Partner announces first close of new fund shortly after wrapping up its initial fund
An Ohio venture firm has raised about one-half of its goal for its second fund with a first close near the end of September. According to this report in Cincy Inno, H Venture Partners has already raised about $10 million for its second fund including adding an unnamed public pension fund as an investor. The announcement comes just a couple of months after it wrapped up its first fund.
With the larger second fund, H Venture Partners will be able to write bigger checks to companies. Its investments in the second fund will likely range from $500,000 to $1 million. In the first fund, which has 10 companies now and could reach 15, its investments typically range from $250,000 to $500,000. The second fund will probably also stick to about 15 investee companies.
