H Venture Partners, World Within Ventures launch funds in Cincinnati and Atlanta respectively
Here are announcements from two interesting new funds. One is H Venture Partners, based in Cincinnati, while the other is Atlanta-based World Within Ventures (WWV).
The Ohio-based venture capital firm has wrapped-up a $10 million fundraising effort by bringing 90 investors on board. According to this article from Cincy Inno, H Ventures will invest in consumer companies across North America. “We look for science-based consumer brands that are better for human health and better for the environment,” according to Elizabeth Edwards, Founder and Managing Partner. “There’s a ton of opportunity in the sector and not a lot of people invest in it.”
The Atlanta firm was founded by two individuals who met as students at Emory University. According to this hypepotamus article, WWV’s inaugural $20 million fund is designed “to change the narrative around what funding humanitarian-focused start-ups can look like.”
