Here’s a good explanation of the upcoming 3D-printed car
We have posted several articles on the promise that Local Motors has made to deliver a car in September that is “manufactured” via a 3D printing process. As we’ve followed the story, we found this really good explanation of how the capabilities of Oak Ridge National Laboratory and a major machinery manufacturer – Cincinnati Inc. – are coming together to print the full-size car chassis from carbon-fiber reinforced plastics.
