“Global EV Battery Innovations Conference” coming to Chattanooga on April 7
Chattanooga’s Smart Factory Institute is hosting a “Global EV Battery Innovations Conference” on April 7 at the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Administration Building, 7512 Volkswagen Drive, Chattanooga.
Running from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the event will feature a diverse set of speakers . . . from Thomas Rilke, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Deutsche Messe Technology Academy to Megan O’Connor, Co-Founder and CEO of Nth Cycle, an alum of the “Innovation Crossroads” program operated by Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Highlights include:
- A keynote address titled “U.S. Southeast Region as an Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Hub”;
- Five topical sessions discussing next generation EV batteries, solving supply chain issues for battery materials, becoming metal independent, providing a primer on charging, and using wireless charging; and
- A panel of building the necessary charging infrastructure.
