Fund Tennessee bringing several investors to Knoxville on May 8

Event is designed to address various types of capital available to entrepreneurs.

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, through its Fund Tennessee initiative, is hosting a late afternoon event on May 8 in Knoxville for investors and entrepreneurs.

Called the “Pathways To Capital Conversation – East Region” event, it is billed as an opportunity to answer any of several questions.

  1. Would you like to invest where you live?
  2. Would you like to grow your business within your community?
  3. Are you looking for innovative ways to fund entrepreneurs and small businesses?
  4. Are you an entrepreneur seeking equity capital?
  5. Are you a Main Street business looking for capital to grow your business?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, the event could meet your needs.

The program will feature:

  1. Jonny Price of Wefunder;
  2. Alden Zecha of Side Car Angels;
  3. Hattie Brown of Kirchner Group;
  4. A representative of Honeycomb Credit; and
  5. Jay Shaffer of VentureSouth, partnering with Vicinity Capital fundraising  platform.

The event will take place beginning at 4:30 PM Eastern at the 121 Tech Hub, 121 E. Jackson Avenue. To register, click here.
