FSU opens nation’s first stand-alone college of entrepreneurship

A little more than two years after Florida State University opened its newest school, the institution’s Board of Trustees has decided to make a major statement with the creation of the nation’s first stand-alone college of entrepreneurship.

The Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship, now known as the College of Entrepreneurship, was founded with a $100 million gift from Jan Moran and The Jim Moran Foundation in December 2015. In two short years, it has grown from an inaugural class of 80 students in 2017 to about 760 students, 25 faculty and 11 staff members this fall.
