FreightWaves one of 36 companies pitching at “Venture Atlanta” conference next month

Chattanooga’s FreightWaves appears to be the only East Tennessee company invited to either present or be showcased at this year’s “Venture Atlanta” capital conference set for October 16 and 17. Thirty-six companies will present, while 42 will be spotlighted, and you can find the complete list here.

Rapidly growing FreightWaves captured the top prize during the “Rise of the Rest Road Tour” stop in Chattanooga in 2018. Another company founded in Chattanooga named Motivo appears to now be based in Atlanta, but its is one of the start-ups in the spotlight category.

The annual two-day conference connects entrepreneurs throughout the Southeast with more than 200 national investor funds. To date, “Venture Atlanta” has helped launch more than 350 companies that have secured more than $4.3 billion in funding.

The presenting companies pitch over the two days, while those in the showcase are spotlighted at the reception on the first day.
