Free pizza offered for those attending tomorrow’s virtual “Raising & Rising” event

Attention virtual attendees at Wednesday’s “Raising & Rising” event co-hosted by the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center (KEC) and Three Roots Capital with sponsorship from CGI. Knoxville start-up Lunchpool is upping the incentive to participate. The company will provide free pizza if attendees act by 11:15 a.m. EDT today.

“People are exhausted from being in Zoom calls all day,” Alex Abell, Lunchpool Founder, wrote in an email late yesterday. “Attendance for virtual events (is) at an all-time low. As we were going through the rehearsal with Jim (Biggs) and Delaney (Boyd) from KEC, I had an idea. Aside from hearing from awesome local entrepreneurs, I wanted to make sure to give people a compelling reason to join the ‘Raising & Rising’ event. So, we are going to make it fun and feed them as well. Lunchpool is going to sponsor free pizzas for everyone who registers for the event and gets their order in by 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. We’ve got pizza robots that’ll handle the logistics, and it’s a fun experience where everyone at a virtual event gets pizza at the same exact time. We’ve been hosting virtual pizza parties, and have served as many as 100 pizzas around the globe in a single event. It also gives preference to local restaurants near each event attendee.”

So, if you’re registered, you should be good. If not, you have this morning until 11:15 a.m. to do so.
