Four organizations delivering hundreds of free science kits called Learning Lunchboxes to ET schools
As noted in a post earlier this week, attracting new talent and retaining homegrown talent are key ingredients in the success of a vibrant innovation ecosystem.
With that in mind, we took note of an announcement earlier this week about an effort to deliver hundreds of free science kits called Learning Lunchboxes to STEM-designated (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) schools in East Tennessee. It was a collaborative initiative by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the U.S. Department of Energy, the Center of Science and Industry and the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network to support the Tennessee Distance Learning Initiative which provides engaging, hands-on activities aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.
