
Former Rise of the Rest Fund Managing Partner launches Narya Capital
J.D. Vance, who was until recently Managing Partner of the Rise of the Rest Fund, has reportedly raised $93 million to start Narya Capital, a venture fund based in his home state of Ohio. According to this report in Axios, the author of Hillbilly Ellegy is backed by well-known names like Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen, Eric Schmidt and Scott Dorsey as well as Columbus-based Battelle. The latter is one-half of UT-Battelle, prime contractor for Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
