Fiveworx competitor reportedly files for IPO

FiveworxOPower, a seven-year old start-up that could be considered a competitor in some respects to Knoxville-based Fiveworx, is reportedly preparing for its long-anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO). At least, that’s what The Wall Street Journal is reporting. Fiveworx has been the subject of a number of articles on and recently was the only company from Tennessee to participate in the “Cleantech Open” competition. Its approach is to work with utilities to tailor a specific message to consumers that will encourage the latter to take at least five actions to reduce energy usage.
